Advance Care Planning

You have the right to make decisions now regarding your own health care in the future.
Advance Care Planning is a process for helping you understand possible future health care choices. Reflect on your own values and goals and discuss your choices with those persons closest to you. You may also put your wishes in writing in case you become unable to make or communicate your own decisions. Kansas Health Ethics has a helpful brochure, entitled Make The Decision Yours, to help you. This brochure includes a Living Will and Durable Power of Attorney for Healthcare, and is available from our office.
During September, we have a free class every Tuesday afternoon from 2:30 until 4:00 p.m. to answer questions and help you complete these documents. Please contact our office any time for assistance.
Beginning in October, we will be offering this class every 1st Thursday of the month from 7:00 - 8:30 in the evening and every 3rd Tuesday from 2:30 - 4:00 in the afternoon.
